BMW INPA Software is factory BMW diagnostic software. All systems and modules connected to a BMW vehicle read all BMW fault codes and provide live data, diagnostics and other functions.

By nature, car transmissions communicate with each other through the CAN network, so this is the mode to change the setting of which CAN network to use to make it more suitable for the car. CAN-OFF basically turns the interface

Ensure the interface is in the right mode (D-CAN or PT-CAN seem to work on CAN cars, D-CAN is faster… PT-CAN seems to be backwards compatible with cars like the E46)
